ORGANIZATION OF THE « TOUS EN FAUTEUIL » DAY AT ROLAND GARROS FOR THE FRENCH TENNIS FEDERATION
On June the 4th of 2015, Handiamo! organized for the second year in a row the « Tous en Fauteuil » day for the French Tennis Federation at Roland Garros, in association with the Groupe Adecco and Babolat.
The crowd was massive (more than 1000 people) thanks to the teasing video of the event.
More than 350 people have been initiated to wheelchair driving and to wheelchair tennis.
Several wheelchair tennis champions who participated in the French Open came to join the participants who were able to exchange with them and to attend some wheelchair tennis exhibitions : Jiske GRIFFIOEN (world n°2 who won the French Open 2015 in single and doubles), Charlotte FAMIN (french n°1 and world n°16), Michaël JEREMIASZ (world n°11), Joachim GERARD (world n°5) and Stéphane HOUDET (world n°2).
Spectators and participants had the possibility to win many prizes offered by the partners of the event (Groupe Adecco Frence and Babolat) during two tombolas.
Many personalities also particpated in the event : Jean GACHASSIN (French Tennis Federation President), Jean-Luc TENEDOS (French Tennis Federation Vice-President in charge of social actions), Alain DEHAZE (Adecco CEO), Nathalie DECHY, Marie BOCHET, Muriel HURTIS, Claudia TAGBO, Henri LECONTE, Guy FORGET, Arnaud CLEMENT, Guillaume RAOUX, Jean Philippe GATIEN, Sébastien FOUCRAS, Charles ROZOY and Marc MAURY.
All these personalities took part into the event and have been initiated to wheelchair tennis by Michaël JEREMIASZ (Beijing Paralympic Champion and former world n°1).
