As part of the bid to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024, and at the initiative of a call for tender organized by the Paris City Hall, the event agency Ubi-Bene designed and piloted the « Olympic Days » which took place on June the 23rd and 24th of 2017. Recognized for its expertise in the field of handisport, Handiamo! was commissioned by the Ubi-Bene agency to coordinate the 15 Paralympic disciplines that were set up (33 Olympic disciplines were also present).
During these two days, the many visitors (320,000 on Friday and more than 1,000,000 on Saturday) were able to share and admire the Olympic spirit through introductions to the proposed Olympic and Paralympic disciplines, demonstrations and meetings with the greatest French Olympic and Paralympic champions present for the event.
The President of the Republic, Mr Emmanuel Macron, came to support the candidature of Paris 2024, even tried wheelchair tennis under the wise advice of Michaël Jérémiasz.
Through the organization and popular success of this exceptional event, Paris demonstrated to the world its capacity and willingness to host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024.
The appointment is made on September the 13th of 2017 to know the final decision of the IOC!
