As part of the European Heritage Days, INSEP opened its doors to the public in order to make discover this place of excellence where top French sportsmen live, train and build their Olympic and Paralympic success.
Wishing to highlight one Paralympic disciplines which is practiced there, INSEP asked Handiamo! to organize an animation of wheelchair tennis at the European Heritage Days.
In collaboration with the Commission of Wheelchair Tennis, Handiamo! made hundreds of people discovered tennis in a wheelchair through a real-life setting including:
– Getting Started and handling of the wheelchair.
– Explanation of the specificities of wheelchair tennis.
– Exchanges of balls.
– Games double.
All framed by the Handiamo teams! and Souad Yamani, former No. 7 French wheelchair tennis.
Mohade Ghediri and Laurent Donne, two amateur wheelchair tennis players, also came to share their experiences and participated in the animation.
After two days, nearly 700 people attended the animation and over 300 people participated, delighted with this rich experience in learning and discovery.
