On June the 10th of 2014, Handiamo! organized for the company Assystem an event of disability awareness around the para dressage equestrian activity in the prestigious location of Haras de Jardy, with the presence of para dressage equestrian champions and their coach.
Vladimir Vinchon (7th Paralympic Games London grade 3), Anne Frédérique Royon (champion de France 2013 Grade 1B) and Marc-André Morin (rider and trainer Framework Black Saumur) attended the event.
After being initially introduced to the practice of riding in the Olympic career of Haras de Jardy which had been privatized for the occasion, employees of Assystem then lived the handicapping situations faced by Anne Frédérique royon (incomplete quadriplegic) and Vladimir Vinchon (femoral leg amputated right), under the direction of coach Marc-André Morin.
At the end of this scenario that marked the spirits, the two para equestrian dressage champions performed a demonstration of RLM (Freestyle in Music) under the admiring gaze of the employees of Assystem.
A panel discussion on the theme « Self-confidence and the other » was then held in the pavilion of Haras de Jardy.
Many questions were asked to the para dressage equestrian champions and their coach, such as « Can you describe the process you have in place to successfully acquire your confidence, especially after your accident? « » How do you manage overconfidence or doubt? « .
The presence of the two champions’ coach helped highlight the parallels with the situations faced by the managers of Assystem in their relations with their employees.
A cocktail served in the pavilion Jardy closed the event and allowed the employees of Assystem to exchange with the para dressage equestrian champions and their coach.
